The first part of the film was K.G.F: Chapter 1. It was released in 2018. Yash (Apna Rocky Bhai) is in the lead role and Bollywood Sanjay Dutt actor is making debut in Kanada film. The shooting begun in Kolar Gold Fields.  Pictures from the shoot and actor Yash's look in the film was leaked online.

However,the shooting of KGF: Chapter 2 in Kolar Gold Mines was banned by a court verdict. A resident of the area filed a complaint against the filmmakers. The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court in Kolar Gold Fields passed an interim order to stop the film's shoot at Cyanide Hills. As per information from news makers of the film had shifted the entire set to Bengaluru and Hyderabad with huge set up.

K.G.F: Chapter 1....

..... raked in about Rs 250 crore worldwide. The makers of KGF: Chapter 2 has not yet not given release date for the film.KGF: Chapter 2 is a huge budget and it is expected that there is lot of best things for the second part.

The first film KGF Chapter 1 was released on 21st December 2018. Two years was taken for the shooting of the entire First part. It was Indian Kannada language film under the Hombale films. It is the first instalment in the two part series. KGF was released in five languages. It is a complete period drama and is set in the 70s and early 80s. Yash plays the role of Rocky, a slick and a suave person of the 70s era.

At the 66th National Film Awards KGF Chapter 1 won Best Special Effects and Best Stunt Choreographer.

KGF: Chapter 1 on the first day of its release collected 25 crore worldwide, which was the highest opening ever in history of Kannada film industry, In Karnataka's capital Bengaluru itself, the film has earned about 5 crore on day 1. First weekend collections stood around 60 crore worldwide from all its versions. The film grossed around 113 crore worldwide in the first week of its release and it went on to become the first film to cross 100 crore mark in the history of Kannada film industry. And it has grossed over 250 crore in 50-days and emerged as all-time eight highest-grossing south Indian film at Indian box office.

Last but not the least Sanjay Dutt .....

....is a new addition to the film's cast. In KGF Chapter 2, he is playing the character Adheera. The character as per photos is very powerful. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up.

KGP chapter 2 was planned to release on December 2020 but as per the information available in internet and news it is predicted that it will release eight months earlier that is on April 2020. KGF Chapter 2 had its puja ceremony on 31 March 2019 in Bengaluru and also on July 31st,2019 it was officially confirmed that Sanjay Dutt will be seen as Adheera unveiling his first look on occasion of his birthday. The regular shooting of KGF 2 started in May ending and shooting of first schedule took place at Mangalore. This film is expected to release on April or May 2020 coinciding with summer. For this purpose entire cast and crew are working at high pace to complete the shooting within the running year and post production work to rise early in the next year.
